It's true, with the fourth child, we're not nearly as concerned with cleanliness or elaborate bathtime rituals. Poor Clara got her first immersion bath the week before Christmas . . . well after her umbilical stub had fallen off and she was cleared for the water. (She did get some sponge baths, though, I promise!)
While she may have missed out on the early baths her siblings enjoyed, she certainly was the star performer the night she got her first bath! Everyone wanted to watch Clara as she tested the water, got acclimated, and began enjoying it--kicking, looking around, etc. The older sisters and brother had to take turns watching from the prized spot next to Daddy and closest to Clara so as to prevent shoving and fighting.
