Little Ones

I don't have anything new or different for today . . . just more pictures of the kids outside!

Abby

Lydia

The girls really enjoy playing on this little playscape/fort we got for Josiah. Abby is the more competent climber these days, so she can scale the ladder herself. Lydia tries to climb up the slide and then whines for help. Abby is happier to camp out up in the fort, but Lydia likes to do the slide over and over. Josiah mostly takes interest in the fort when the girls are up there. He likes to crash crowded parties . . . so he clambers up the side and pushes his way through the girls to jump down the slide--or he tries to slide down and play "squash the lemon" with an unsuspecting sister. I have to keep a close eye on their play when all three are up there together.

While Josiah likes to throw himself in the thick of his sisters' play--usually with disruptive and often calamitous intentions--the girls love to get a-hold of anything of his, too. They always prefer his toys to their own . . . thus their interest in his bike above. (They also make a beeline for his digging toys and dirt holes when we're outside. They like to eat handfuls of dirt from his excavations, gnaw on unearthed rocks, and taste the digging implements, too.)

I usually have to confiscate this rope when the sisters are around
