Sunday Evening Gardening

Last Saturday we took a family trip to the local nursery and bought some plants, and then Sunday evening we planted our tomatoes, cucumbers, and butternut squash seedlings. We had some other plants already started from seed, so our summer garden is mostly set! We just hope it grows. . . .

March temperatures have been above average so far, but they've made for beautiful evenings. The kids are enjoying the yard so much, though we still have to keep Lydia and Abby from eating dirt and rocks. Here are some pictures of the three of them last Sunday evening--all trying to "help" Daddy with the garden, in their own way!

Josiah loves to climb the ladder whenever he gets permission to do so!
