Water Fun

The weather has taken a turn for the worse, and now it's hot in Phoenix every day. Thankfully it's still not too hot to do some things outside sometimes, and water play definitely helps with the heat!

My handy husband made an extra-fun sprinkler for the kids by drilling holes into some PVC pipes and hooking them up to the hose. He pulled the play fort and slide up to it, so they could slide right into the spraying water. This startled the girls at first, and Abby almost cried, but she stopped herself and headed right back up the ladder to do it again.

 Lydia

 Ah, the cloth diaper bum!

 Grabbing at the water . . .

 What fun!

Josiah liked to fill containers (which he usually tried to drink, until stopped by Mom or Dad)

Tasting some sour grapes from our vine

Lydia loves these tiny grapes! I plan to wait till they're ripe to eat them, though. :)

Plopped down in the middle and soaked!

Abby took a break to mow the lawn

Lydia eating more grapes (this girl does love to eat!)

I unintentionally caught the droplets of water in focus!

Chaos on the slide (Lydia is still eating grapes)

And Josiah pushes ahead, as expected . . .
